Lawton Chiropractic :: Your Second Visit
Chiropractic and your Health
After a warm welcome back, you will be escorted to our consultation room where a New Patient Advocate will review the events of your first visit and introduce a short video presentation that will help explain the results of your exam, further discuss the role of chiropractic and your health, and help you clarify and quantify your health goals.
We will answer all your questions
After the video, a New Patient Advocate will answer any questions you have regarding the video, preview the results of your computer scans, as well as demonstrate how a normal healthy spine appears when viewed on x-ray. Dr. Lawton will then review all of your exam findings in as much detail as you would like. He will show you everything he found in the course of the exam, the consequences of the choices you make and offer the best care he can.
The Patients Role
Your job is very simple: listen to what he has to say and decide what you want to do. Dr. Lawton will map out of program of care designed to help you achieve the health goals that you want. After all, it is YOUR health.
Chiropractic Financial Plan
If you decide to accept care, our Financial Specialist will sit down with you to discuss your financial plan. We will help you to make your care affordable, so you can enjoy the process and focus on achieving your health goals. We will get your financial plan and your appointments handled in advance, so that your life will be easier, which will allow you to make better use of your time on each visit.
We not only want to help you to get well, we want to help you stay well for a lifetime!
Your First Chiropractic Adjustment
The purpose of your consultation with the doctor is to discuss your health goals and see if chiropractic is likely to help you. If it looks promising, a thorough examination will help identify the cause of your problem.
When you are finished, you will receive your first adjustment in your program of care. We know you are going to love this part! Our adjustments are very gentle and relaxing, again using cutting edge technology by incorporating the Arthro-Stim adjusting instrument. When you are finished with youradjustment, we will escort you to the front desk to finalize any details and get you on with your day.
Plan on about 30-40 minutes for this visit.

Regular Visits
On a typical office visit, you will arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your appointment, sign in at the front desk where you will be cordially greeted by our fantastic front desk staff and then you can relax in our comfortable reception room. You will be called when it is your turn, given your travel card and you can make your may back to the adjusting area.
Your Chiropractic Adjustment
Dr. Lawton will greet you, take your card and begin preparations for your adjustment that day. Be sure to let Dr. Lawton know of any changes in your health, or even things that you have noticed since being under care. Dr. Lawton may have you lying on the table, sitting or standing for today’s adjustment, depending on what is best for you. Your job is to relax and be present in the moment during the adjustment. Don’t try to solve the problems of the world during your adjustment. Think of this time as a little oasis from the trials and tribulations of life.
After your chiropractic adjustment, you can return your card to the front desk, where you will be reminded of your next appointment and sent on your merry way. You should be in and out within 15 minutes.
