What to Expect

As chiropractors in Dayton we want all of our patients to feel immediately at home when they walk in the door. Since chiropractic care involves a series of visits, with each one building on the ones before, it’s important for you to feel comfortable right from the start.

Your First Visit to Our Wexford Practice

Welcome

Upon entering the office, you will be greeted by our office staff and welcomed to our office. Our first goal is to make you feel comfortable and at home. We will show you where to hang your coat and where the rest rooms are. We will then give you the grand tour of our office, describing each room and all of the services, technologies and products that we offer.

New Patients Paperwork

We will collect your new patient paperwork, which you were able to download from our website and complete in advance, saving you time and speeding up your process. You will meet with one of our New Patient Advocates, who will go over your paperwork with you and introduce a short video presentation for you to watch which will introduce you to chiropractic and our approach towards healthcare.

Chiropractic Consultation

After the video, you will meet with Dr. Lawton for a consultation to discuss your concerns, needs and goals regarding your health. Once you are satisfied that all pertinent information has been discussed and your questions have been answered, will we then proceed with a comprehensive and thorough examination.

Chiropractic Examination

Your exam will include a chiropractic physical examination, as well as an evaluation using state of the art technology to assess how your nervous system is functioning and how well your cells are aging. X-rays may also be taken to further evaluate you. Dr. Lawton will analyze all of the data from your exam, computer scans and x-rays after your visit in preparation for your report of findings on your next visit.

At the completion of your exam, a New Patient Advocate will take you to the front desk to make sure your next visit to go over your exam results is scheduled. We will give you some handouts which will explain some of the procedures you had today, as well as what to expect on your next visit. We eagerly wait your return on your next visit!

Your first visit will be about one hour.
